Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 3.74%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 3.74%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 5.67% or 33.40 points to trade at 622.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 4.56% or 4.30 points to end at 98.70 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 3.62% or 400.00 points to 11,450.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA), which fell 1.10% or 8.00 points to trade at 720.00 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 0.61% or 1.60 points to end at 261.80 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 0.50% or 4.00 points to 793.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.09% or 0.06 to $70.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.24% or 0.90 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $2,633.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was unchanged 0.01% to 7.17, while EUR/DKK rose 0.14% to 7.47.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
