Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.33%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.33%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which rose 5.41% or 2.54 points to trade at 49.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) added 4.96% or 0.72 points to end at 15.24 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS:GESAN) was up 4.29% or 2.10 points to 51.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO), which fell 3.58% or 40.00 points to trade at 1,077.00 at the close. MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) declined 2.79% or 10.50 points to end at 366.00 and AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) was down 2.44% or 8.25 points to 330.25.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 338 to 221 and 20 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.05% or 1.30 to $2,571.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.14% or 0.78 to hit $67.92 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.06% or 0.77 to trade at $71.79 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.30% to 34.42, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 36.29.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 106.74.
