Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 1.74%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 1.74%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which rose 5.32% or 500.00 points to trade at 9,900.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB) added 3.21% or 270.00 points to end at 8,670.00 and Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH) was up 1.94% or 1,520.00 points to 80,000.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p), which fell 2.95% or 220.00 points to trade at 7,250.00 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) declined 2.35% or 40.00 points to end at 1,660.00 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA) was down 1.56% or 280.00 points to 17,700.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.35% or 40.00 to 1,660.00.

US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.46% or 6.40 to $254.00 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 3.30% or 243.00 to hit $7,117.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.54% or 14.60 to trade at $2,691.20 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.86% to 4,360.25, while BRL/COP rose 0.08% to 759.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 104.82.
