Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which rose 3.08% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Interlife General Insurance Company SA (AT:INLIFr) added 2.38% or 0.11 points to end at 4.74 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 2.35% or 0.09 points to 3.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Public Power (AT:DEHr), which fell 1.99% or 0.24 points to trade at 11.84 at the close. Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) declined 1.96% or 0.52 points to end at 26.06 and Alumil (AT:ALMr) was down 1.55% or 0.07 points to 4.13.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 59 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.43% or 38.91 to $2,757.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.17% or 0.80 to hit $69.39 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.87% or 0.63 to trade at $72.82 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 106.42.
