Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.04%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.04%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Mineros SA (BVC:MAS), which rose 5.52% or 235.00 points to trade at 4,495.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) added 2.23% or 40.00 points to end at 1,830.00 and Promigas (BVC:PMG) was up 1.30% or 100.00 points to 7,800.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which fell 1.42% or 180.00 points to trade at 12,500.00 at the close. Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) declined 1.28% or 45.00 points to end at 3,465.00 and Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) was down 1.14% or 160.00 points to 13,820.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) rose to 5-year highs; rising 5.52% or 235.00 to 4,495.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was down 4.34% or 14.49 to $319.66 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.47% or 50.00 to hit $10,507.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.26% or 34.34 to trade at $2,752.74 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.70% to 4,338.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.81% to 728.49.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 106.34.
