Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.39%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.39%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p), which rose 1.15% or 110.00 points to trade at 9,680.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Promigas (BVC:PMG) added 0.92% or 70.00 points to end at 7,650.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) was up 0.82% or 320.00 points to 39,380.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Etb (BVC:ETB), which fell 6.92% or 5.50 points to trade at 74.00 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) declined 2.95% or 360.00 points to end at 11,840.00 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA) was down 1.85% or 320.00 points to 16,980.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 1 to 0.

Shares in Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.15% or 110.00 to 9,680.00. Shares in Etb (BVC:ETB) fell to all time lows; down 6.92% or 5.50 to 74.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.94% or 3.05 to $320.00 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 3.36% or 305.00 to hit $9,373.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 8.99 to trade at $2,673.79 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.24% to 4,428.77, while BRL/COP rose 0.83% to 741.42.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 105.79.
