Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.12%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.12%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO), which rose 3.92% or 65.00 points to trade at 1,725.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p) added 3.49% or 15.00 points to end at 445.00 and Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) was up 2.60% or 95.00 points to 3,750.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which fell 6.13% or 2,320.00 points to trade at 35,520.00 at the close. Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) declined 3.36% or 460.00 points to end at 13,240.00 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:CFV_p) was down 2.77% or 400.00 points to 14,040.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.60% or 95.00 to 3,750.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.15% or 6.02 to $285.42 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.51% or 43.00 to hit $8,549.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 6.60 to trade at $2,566.30 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.95% to 4,439.08, while BRL/COP fell 0.99% to 765.94.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 106.67.
