Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.46%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Glass and Electricity sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.46%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, San Fang Chemical Industry Co Ltd (TW:1307) added 9.99% or 4.10 points to end at 45.15 and Foxconn Technology Co Ltd (TW:2354) was up 9.96% or 7.30 points to 80.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Creative Sensor Inc (TW:8249) declined 8.24% or 5.70 points to end at 63.50 and Golden Bridge Electech Inc (TW:6133) was down 8.09% or 2.05 points to 23.30.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Foxconn Technology Co Ltd (TW:2354) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.96% or 7.30 to 80.60.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.69% or 0.47 to $69.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.67% or 0.48 to hit $72.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 5.10 to trade at $2,795.70 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.02% to 31.96, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 104.00.
