Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 2.85% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) added 1.92% or 0.10 points to end at 5.30 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was up 1.89% or 0.02 points to 1.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which fell 3.08% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.89 at the close. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) declined 2.31% or 0.02 points to end at 0.76 and Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) was down 1.97% or 0.65 points to 32.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 86 to 34 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.99% or 27.25 to $2,732.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.30% or 0.93 to hit $70.81 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.29% or 0.98 to trade at $75.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 104.35.
