Strategas explains why this is ‘the most investable election of our lifetimes’

Investing.com — With just two weeks remaining before the U.S. election, analysts at Strategas have dubbed it “the most investable election of our lifetimes,” citing the stark differences between the candidates and the impact on markets.

“The differences between Trump and Harris are as wide as we have ever seen,” the firm stated.

Strategas stressed that the election outcome could drive significant shifts in trade, foreign policy, regulation, and immigration—four key areas where the next administration could act unilaterally without Congressional approval.

“Of the six major issues that investors are most closely following, four are executive actions that do not require Congressional action, making the election result binary in the areas of trade, foreign policy, regulation, and immigration.,” the analysts added.

These policy differences are expected to influence global growth, corporate earnings, and market trends.

“Trade policy differences will determine where growth and earnings take place around the world,” Strategas noted. Unsurprisingly, the election is already influencing financial markets.

“The U.S. election is moving just about every currency and stock market,” the firm observed, emphasizing the global stakes involved.

In the domestic market, Strategas pointed out that Trump is being perceived as a higher-inflation candidate, which could have meaningful implications for U.S. bond yields, the yield curve, and the performance of growth versus value stocks.

Strategas said its analysts are actively meeting with clients and institutional investors in swing states to gather insights and discuss market implications.

With volatility expected to persist in the coming weeks, Strategas emphasized the importance of staying attuned to election developments that could reshape global markets.
