After-Hours Stock Movers:

McDonald’s (NYSE:MCD) fell 9% after the CDC said there was a severe E Coli outbreak linked to the restaurant chain that sickened 49 people and caused one death.

Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) fell 4% after it issued preliminary fourth quarter results that were well below consensus estimates. The company’s results were primarily driven by softness in North America’s revenues in the quarter, specifically a 6% decline in U.S. comparable store sales.

Seagate Technology (STX) fell 3% despite reporting EPS and revenue that topped consensus, after it published guidance that was lackluster.

Enphase Energy (NASDAQ:ENPH) fell 7% after its third quarter results missed consensus, with guidance for fourth quarter revenue that failed to match the average analyst estimate.

Stride Inc. (NYSE:LRN) surged 22% after it reported better than expected quarterly results. First quarter enrollments were 222.6K, up 18.5% compared to 187.9K enrollments in the first quarter of fiscal year 2024.

Alto Neuroscience (ANRO) fell 57% after it announced treatment with ALTO-100 did not demonstrate improvement in depressive symptoms compared to placebo in patients with a memory-based cognitive biomarker.
