Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.33%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.33%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 3.51% or 9.30 points to trade at 274.30 at the close. Meanwhile, AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) added 2.62% or 5.10 points to end at 200.00 and Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb) was up 2.09% or 2.10 points to 102.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 5.03% or 10.60 points to trade at 199.20 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 1.97% or 0.13 points to end at 6.21 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 1.44% or 8.80 points to 602.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 401 to 323 and 96 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.78% or 1.26 to $69.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.71% or 1.27 to hit $73.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 25.45 to trade at $2,732.95 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.20% to 11.44, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.03% to 10.53.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.39.
