Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.57%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.57%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr), which rose 1.80% or 0.58 points to trade at 32.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) added 1.77% or 0.14 points to end at 8.06 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) was up 1.32% or 0.02 points to 1.23 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which fell 3.73% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.10 at the close. Interlife General Insurance Company SA (AT:INLIFr) declined 3.07% or 0.14 points to end at 4.42 and Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) was down 2.58% or 0.90 points to 34.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 91 to 33 and 18 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 2.30 to $2,665.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.29% or 1.70 to hit $76.08 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.10% or 1.64 to trade at $79.69 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 102.26.
